Hola,

This is the last week before transfers!   Wow, it's gone by sooo fast.

This last week we didn't have power from Tuesday morning at 4 am until Friday night around 5pm.  We had to use candles and flashlights. All of our food in the fridge went bad, and we had to throw out almost all of our food. We didn't have apollo (the money they give us for food on the 15th and the 30th) because we spent the rest of it on Monday because we got more on Saturday.  So I ate peanut butter bagels for every meal. It was basically glorified camping, with no food. The members kept us going though so thats good.  It was kind of fun anyway.

On Tuesday morning our water was off for half the day, so that was also way fun. Totally worth it though considering where I am and what I am doing. The work is far more important than me. :)

We had a noche blanca last night which is where all of the baptisms for Enero in the stake were baptized on the same night!  It was great. We didn't have anyone so we got to sit back and watch. We are however having a baptism on Saturday (MY FIRST ONE). I am really excited and I will take pictures.

We went to the temple and walked around and talked about it with some investagators. I have some pictures that I will try to put in this email. If not, they are in dropbox.

Hermana Meldrum, my companion, is finishing her mission this week. I am going to miss her so much, but I am so thankful for her and her example to me. We have had some fun times and I really have learned a ton from her. Her parents are coming to pick her up so they are going to go on some visits with us on Sunday. It will be fun to have some English speakers around!!  I am super excited for them to get here.

I am so blessed. It is so gorgeous here, and the people are amazing. I live where people come to vacation.
WOW, just WOW.

Love,
Hermana Shepherd
