It's my birthday!

Hey, I'm offically 20,  so thats pretty neat.   Also, I hit seven months in the mission a couple days ago, but most importantly...

WE HAD A BAPTISM YESTERDAY!  His name is Jeancel.  He is 17 and  is here from Haiti. He does not know  any Spanish. so we taught with people that could translate and when they couldn't come we taught with pictures. We lost him for like a week because he doesn't have a phone or anything and we didn't know where he lived. Every time we have taught him it's been with a member.  We were having a cosecha and some other elders found him and gave him his interview and everything and then he was baptised the next day. Sorry, it's hard to explain in detail while I am rushed but it was way cool. He was so excited.

Transfers are here already. I am staying in VIlla Verde and I am going to train a brand new person. We won't know who until Tuesday. But my old companion Hermana Pereira will be in my house with me again. I am pretty excited for these new adventures.

I think that is all for this week. Sorry if I don't make sense. I am really rushed. I forgot my port to plug in my camera. I will definitly do it next week.

Love you all and thank you for the birthday wishes!

Happy Birthday Tayson!

This past week was good.  My companion still has a sprained ankle so we stayed in for a little bit.

We are teaching a couple families that are progressing really well. We still have problems of getting people married. We are planning to go to the temple and bring a couple of our investagators  with us so that will be good.

Cool thing, I ate cow liver!  It was not very good and very hard to chew.  I also saw my first dead dog this week. It was lying on the sidewalk with flies and stuff all over it. It was pretty gross.

We went to the beach this week. It was  really pretty and we took some pictures but my camera died so i will put some up this next week.

One cool thing. We have an investagator from Haiti, he only speaks Creol (French) so we have to have a member that can translate for us. He wants to be baptised and we are working with him on that. He is less that 18 so we need parents permission but his parents are in Haiti and its a 4000 peso trip one way. That's like 80 dollars I think. Something like that, and he dosnt have that kind of money to spend. So we are going to wait till he is 18 and can get a passport.
.

Anyway, I hope you all had a good week!   Tell Tayson happy birthday tomorrow if any of you see him.

Love you guys!

Note from mom - Brittin will be celebrating her 20th birthday on June 20th.  I am sure she would be thrilled to get some birthday cards in the mail or even some emails wishing her a happy birthday.  Info for all that is on the right hand side of this blog.  Let's make this birthday a special one for her.
